NxWorries – Link Up & Suede

Anderson Paak is having one hell of a year, from featuring heavily on Dr Dre’s ‘Compton’ to collaborating with some seriously heavy hitters on the West Coast, including the prodigious yet mysterious Knxwledge, with whom he makes music as NxWorries.

They got us grooving and swaying with their deliciously smooth debut jam ‘Suede‘ a little while back, and we’ve all been waiting patiently since for a full length record to drop. Well… there’s some good, and some bad news. Good news – a record has just dropped. Bad news – it’s only 6 tracks, with half of them hardly passing the one minute mark. Quality over quantity they say.

Thankfully that is exactly the case on ‘Link Up & Suede‘. Knxwledge‘s production is on another level, and Paak‘s vocals perfectly melt into it with a suave flair and confidence.

The result is a real treat of an EP. Which will have you cruising out in your drop top low rider in no time. Or on the bus. Both are fine. Out now on the prestigious Stones Throw Records.
